Bidding
The bid runs on the set you compiled.
A bid is a promise priced against a drawing set — so the worst thing that can happen is two bidders pricing two different sets. In LODE, bidding is a tab on the project record: addenda flow through the same revision engine as every issuance, the bid room serves only the current set, and when the numbers come in you can prove exactly which set was published to price.
This is a tab on every LODE project, not a separate product. Bidding runs on the same record the drawings live on — nothing is exported to it, nothing drifts from it.
Bid cycles & packages
Run a cycle per bid package, and see across all of them at once. Each cycle carries its own bidders, addenda, questions, and tabulation — on the same project record.
Bidders & prequalification
A roster per cycle with prequalification tracked alongside. Who was invited, who opened their bid room, who declined — the record answers before anyone has to remember.
Addenda, through the engine
An addendum is a revision issuance like any other: sheets and spec sections supersede through the compiler, and every bid room serves the superseded set from the moment it publishes.
Questions & substitutions
Bid questions logged, answered, and importable in batches. Substitution requests get their own register with a decision on each — no more answers buried in reply-all.
Tabulation & bid report
Base bids side by side as they open, with a bid report generated from the tabulation — the comparison your owner meeting actually needs.
Award, into the record
Record the award — GMP or lump sum — and the contract sum chain starts there. Financials picks it up without anyone re-typing a number.

The classic bid-phase failure is silent: Addendum 02 goes out by email, two bidders never open it, and the spread in the numbers is really a spread in the documents. LODE closes that loop — the addendum supersedes sheets and sections through the compiler, the bid room serves only the current set, and the room records when each bidder opened it. At tabulation you transcribe the addenda each bid form acknowledges, and the table flags any bid that priced a superseded set.
